Veterinarian

Dr. Rachel Wenzel graduated with her doctorate from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She is a Michigan native and grew up in the Saginaw area. Dr. Wenzel specializes in and enjoys preventative medicine, client education, and surgery. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three boys, visiting Michigan state parks, and spending time with her four dogs, two cats, a rabbit, and a fish.

Dr. Sanchez grew up in mid-Michigan. Before veterinary school, he worked as a Licensed Veterinary Technician at MSU’s Veterinary Medical Center in the emergency and critical care department and the radiology department. His main interests are in orthopedic and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Sanchez and his wife, Lindsey, have a six-year-old daughter and a two-year-old son. They live on a farm with a herd of beef cattle, a pony named Taffy, barn cats, and an Australian Shepherd, Koda. Dr. Sanchez is proud to serve as the Medical Director and be a part of the Ithaca Animal Hospital team.

Hospital Manager

Jessica has been practicing in the veterinary field for 12 years. She has been in management for 9 years. She loves educating the clients and staff. She also loves helping the team out by seeing patients. In her free time, she loves camping with her family, outdoor activities, and spending time with all of her animals. Jessica loves being a part of this great Ithaca Team!

Veterinary Assistant

Julia has been working at Ithaca for four months and is a veterinary assistant. She started with us job shadowing in 2021. Julia went to school at Alma College. She loves working with and helping large breed dogs. In her free time, she likes running, hanging out with her dogs, and her sisters.

Certified Veterinary Assistant

Rachael is a certified veterinary assistant through animal behavior college and has been an assistant since 2019. She enjoys being a part of the vet med team and making a difference for animals. She hopes to someday be an LVT. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her sister, husband and many fur babies or helping out at her church.

Certified Veterinary Assistant

Taylor has been a veterinary assistant for 2 years. She loves to help all animals when she can. Taylor is a mother of three boys. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies and being outdoors.
